Boknafisk is cod that is hung on rocks, but taken down in a semi-dry form. It should be fairly dry on the skin, but the fish meat should be soft and slightly sour. It is said that it should be soft at the spine.
The boknafisk is served with delicious accessories such as bacon, potatoes, pea stew and dip. Scholars argue about what is best of lutefisk, diluted stockfish and boknafisk. We say yes thank you for everything!
