COD TONGUES

It is a common view at all fish factories that young people cut cod tongues, and the same applies to us. Every winter they learn to make their own money, with hard work and long days.


The cod tongues are cut by threading the heads on a spike and the tongue is "folded out". Here you will have finger strength, technique, a sharp knife and a will of steel. This is hard work, where every single kilo is fought for.

We also have an unofficial world record for the number of kilos cut in one day. Henning Hansen cut 342 kg of cod tongues in 9 hours! That is 38 kg per hour, which is very impressive. It is not yet registered in "Guinness World Records", but we are betting that it will come.

He first set the record at 315 kilos. This was beaten, and then he decided to take it back two years later.
